Norwest community embarked on an unforgettable journey to the breathtaking Blue Mountains, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The day began at the crack of dawn, with enthusiastic participants gathering at 7:15 am, eagerly anticipating the adventure that lay ahead.

The group kick-started their day with a hearty breakfast in the charming town of Blackheath. Energized and ready to explore, they made their way to Govett’s Leap lookout, where they were greeted by awe-inspiring vistas of the Blue Mountains’ rugged beauty.

Next stop on the itinerary was the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens, perfectly timed with the arrival of spring. The vibrant colours of the blossoms were a visual feast, and the scent of blooming flowers filled the air.

Following a delightful morning, the group descended upon Leura village for a well-deserved lunch, savouring the local flavours before continuing their adventure.

The journey then led them to the iconic Three Sisters and Echo Point lookout. Some opted for a leisurely stroll, immersing themselves in the natural wonders and capturing the breathtaking scenery through their lenses.

Their final destination, Lincoln’s Rock, provided the perfect backdrop for adventurous snapshots, with its expansive views and rugged terrain.

Despite the presence of many other tourists, the group never felt rushed or overwhelmed, and they were blessed with perfect weather throughout the day.

Participants, ranging from those who took around 10,000 to 20,000 steps, tailored their experiences to their preferences, making the trip inclusive for everyone.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who joined this remarkable journey. The joy and camaraderie shared on this outing were evident, with some even deciding to join the Norwest Community Association for more exciting adventures and fun in the future.

Special appreciation is extended to Mulpha for sponsoring this unforgettable trip, making it a day cherished by all who attended. The Blue Mountains adventure will undoubtedly remain a cherished memory in the hearts of the Norwest community for years to come.
